Springfield, Virginia, USA. One of the perks of being a person born transsexual is that we irritate a whole lot of people. No particular slice of humanity has a monopoly on discomfort. Somehow transsexuality must be a threat to world order.
I suppose it is.
I dunno.
The loudest objection came from the old line, hard core Feminists. Germaine Greer
 referred to AIS women as “failed men”, then extended her envelope of ignorance to include transsexuals. I guess she couldn’t imagine a Female to Male (FtM) transsexual but I don’t think she would have called them “failed women. The vehemence of their attacks was only exceeded by their lack of knowledge about transsexuality. It was almost like they were angry that Male to Female (MtF) transsexuals had not been “oppressed” in exactly the same way they were in New York City.
I suppose we were different.
I dunno.
I was raised in Sacramento, not New York. I went to a state college and not an old growth eastern university. But if we want to talk about “oppression,” I will match the patriarchy oppressing my transsexual gender identity to the patriarchy oppressing your feminist gender identity any day. I’m sorry that I didn’t bleed when I was eleven or twelve, but I was working on it; and when the science and medicine were finally available, I noted you weren’t helping.
Gay guys cannot imagine anyone not wanting a penis. MtF transsexuals confuse them. I spend a lot of time explaining to gay guys that I am not a guy and never wanted to be a guy.
Most of them don’t understand. Drag Queens they understand, but not transsexuals. FtM transsexuals look like cute boys to them but not ones they would want to take to bed. Maybe it’s the penis thing.
I suppose it is.
I dunno.
Lesbians, for the most part, are accepting once they get to know you and understand you aren’t a gay guy. Still, some of the more ardent ones believe that women are women and men are icky and never the twain shall meet – no matter what the science and medical experts say.
 These are the same dykes who say that bi women cannot be lesbians, nor can any woman who has ever had a penis inside of them. They really have a hard time with FtM transsexuals finding it impossible to understand why anyone would want to be a man. So maybe it is just the penis thing again.I suppose it is.
I dunno.
Where people born transsexual really get into trouble, especially the post-ops, is with the Gender Spectrum Transgenderists. People born transsexual insist we are either men or else we are women. No in-betweens. If gender identity were nothing more than the clothes you wear and the role you play, who would spend tens of thousands of dollars getting your body to agree with your mind?
You would have to be crazy and all the people born transsexual have notes from our therapists saying we are not. I would have saved a lot of money if I could have resolved everything by buying a new dress. I guess our existence calls into question the viability of gender spectrum theory.
I suppose it does.
I dunno.
 Ditto the crossdressers. If there is no gender spectrum, then they are just guys in dresses, just like your Uncle Joe, the one you never talk about. They don’t like being guys in dresses.
People talk about them.

Adolescence males of all ages like to beat us up. Something about male sexual insecurity, testosterone rushes, and immature wiring inside their brains. People born transsexual have been killed by sixteen year olds. People born transsexual have been killed by forty year olds.
 Age doesn’t seem to be a determining factor. Insecurity does. Somehow when certain males find themselves attracted to MtF transsexuals, they blame the person born transsexual, not themselves, and kill the transsexual. Maybe it’s all that testosterone wrapped inside muscular bodies and emotionally uncontrollable brains.I suppose it is the testosterone. I dunno.
A lot of johns really get upset when they find out the person giving them a blow job is a MtF pre-op transsexual. This is not normally a concern, however, until after the john gets his rocks off.
I’m not really sure how many people born transsexual are working the street. A lot of the “girls” who make the news appear to be “Chicks with Dicks,” crossdressers who have had silicon boob jobs to improve their business prospects.
The john really kill the crossdressers a lot. Post-op MtF prostitutes shouldn’t have this problem unless they “confess” to the john for some reason (and if they are stupid enough to do that …).
The john’s anger seems to aimed at truth in advertising and their own insecurity over having got off on someone who does not meet their standards of an ideal woman. But then, they are getting sex on the street, aren’t they? Or maybe it’s that testosterone thing again.
I suppose it is.
I dunno.
 The last main group upset with transsexuality are the Christians and the Muslims – not all of them, but most of them. Both groups have direct pipelines to their God who tells them what is right or wrong.Not that I can find anywhere that Moses, Jesus, or Mohammed specifically discussed transsexuality, so I suspect the rightness or wrongness has something to do with my interpretation.
I suppose it is all personal interpretation.
I dunno.
I can only live my life the best I can and dodge any stones that are thrown at me. |
