(Homo Sapiens
Astralicus) Europa, Europa,
Ocean of life, Chemicals and volcanoes, All churning inside. We need to go To Mars and beyond To Jupiter's moon And then farther yet, Past Saturn's rings, Past the comet cloud, Past dear Sol's last feeble grasp, Until the stars are ours And the Universe our playground, And Homo Astralicus Stands upright on her scattered worlds, Pointing to the sky To show her children Where Sol would be, If the sky were darker And the star far brighter Than the yellow white orb That gave us birth. - 1997 -
