Another Summer
The storms to the south
Have cleansed and cooled us And provided a short respite From the oppressive heat. The full moon sets Behind the mist, Chased by Jupiter Pretending to be Venus. The sun's bright yellow light Moves the chilled air Across my thin T-shirt And turns my thoughts To times to come And lips and hands That will soon touch mine.
