The continuum is an infinity of emptiness
Filled with star and galaxy
Separated by the unfathomed darkness
Of the distant beginning
That dulls all sharpness
Until creation's tangle emerges
From the background light
That is hidden around us everywhere.
What came before
Precedes us
And all of our gods.
